1. About Stemma

Stemma is a personal plant collection management app that helps you track your plants, manage substrate recipes, monitor plant health, and organize your collection's lineage and value.

2. Data Collection & Storage

We don't collect personal data / no tracking.

Stemma stores all your data locally on your device. This includes:

• Plant information (names, scientific names, photos, notes)
• Health values and growth tracking data
• Substrate recipes and ingredient compositions
• Financial data (purchase prices, market values, ROI calculations)
• Lineage relationships (parent-child plant connections)
• Activity history and growth photos

All data is stored on your device using iOS's local storage. No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties unless you explicitly choose to export it.

3. Where Your Data Lives

By default, all Stemma data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync (via iOS Settings), your data may be synced to your personal iCloud account, which is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policies.

Export and import files are created by you, the user, and stored where you choose. Stemma does not automatically upload or transmit these files anywhere.

4. Analytics & Tracking

Stemma does not use any analytics, tracking, or third-party data collection services. We do not track your usage, collect crash reports, or gather any information about how you use the app.

No personal data is collected, stored, transmitted, or shared.

5. Photos & Media

Photos you add to plants are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to any servers or shared with third parties. Photos are only accessible within the Stemma app on your device.

6. Data Export & Backup

You can export your data as JSON or CSV files. These exports are created locally and can be saved to your device, shared via email, or stored in cloud storage services of your choice. Stemma does not have access to these exported files.

You are responsible for backing up your data. We recommend regularly exporting your data or enabling iCloud sync if you want automatic backups.

7. Third-Party Services

Stemma does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services. The app operates entirely locally on your device.

8. Children's Privacy

Stemma is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Stemma after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
